How to Microwave Quinoa

1 cup quinoa 1¾ cup water or vegetable broth
Rinse quinoa to remove any dust or debris.

Add quinoa and water to a LARGE glass bowl. (Important Note - Pick a bowl bigger than what you think you'll need to prevent overflow.)
Cover the bowl with a large plate and microwave for 5 minutes. Let the quinoa settle for at least 30 seconds and then microwave for another 5 minutes.
Allow it to sit covered for 5 more minutes before carefully removing the plate (use a towel or hot pad, it will be hot!) Fluff with a fork and enjoy!
Important Notes
Make sure you use a bowl that is large enough to prevent any overflow. Better to use bigger than you think then too small!
When removing from the microwave, be careful to use protection from the heat as the steam and quinoa will be hot.
