Oil-Free Classic Hummus

Homemade hummus made easy! This is the ultimate, oil-free hummus. Any home blender can make this creamy hummus with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can chickpeas including the liquid (NOT drained)
  • 1 can white beans (like cannellini or great northern beans) 15.5 oz drained and rinsed well
  • 1 medium lemon, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons creamy tahini
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt adjust to taste

Instructions
 

  • To a blender add the chickpeas including the liquid (just dump the whole can), and the drained and rinsed white beans.
  • Add in the remaining ingredients and process in the blender on high speed until hummus is smooth and creamy. Stop to push down sides and blend again as needed. Taste and adjust salt or spices as desired.

Notes

Note : The liquid in this recipe should help get your blender going. Don't hesitate to put it in, the hummus will thicken a bit in the fridge.
Storage : This recipe can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for 5 days.
