I'm Sam, and I’m the one woman show behind Sam Cooks Kindness!
Sam Cooks Kindness was started in 2020 as a way to share my passion for vegan food and to prove that nourishing your body & soul doesn't have to feel boring.
Today, this is a space dedicated to showcasing delicious, EASY (and mostly healthy) vegan recipes! I hope to provide an inclusive space of kindness, love and of course, yummy food, because everyone needs to eat!!
When I’m not busy blogging, I love eating (obviously), gardening, running & yoga. I’m also a married mom of two young kiddos and a registered nurse! I’ve been vegan since August 2018 and I’ve never looked back. Veganism has such a basis in kindness, for all living creatures and that includes yourself too!
Health Journey
We're all on our own journeys, and I'm sure many of you can relate to mine. I've spent a lot of mine confused about health, trying every fad diet from a young age and yo-yoing in my weights. Nothing ever worked long term and I was the queen of "starting again Monday".
Over the last 4 years, I've immersed myself in learning about nutrition and how a whole food plant based diet can help release weight and gain health. I've managed to lose 62 pounds following a whole food plant diet with a focus on whole starches! You can follow along and learn more about my health journey on my youtube channel!
