Recipe

Chocolate Protein Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas (15.5oz) drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter or almond butter
- 3 tablespoons cocoa power
- ¼ cup EarthChimp chocolate protein powder
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch sea salt
- ¾ cup plant-based milk (soy is great to increase the protein!)
Instructions
- Blend the base. In a food processor or high-speed blender, combine the drained chickpeas, peanut or almond butter, cocoa powder, protein powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
- Add the milk gradually. With the processor running, slowly pour in the plant-based milk until the mixture reaches a smooth, creamy consistency. Scrape down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust. Taste your hummus and add a little more maple syrup or a pinch more salt if needed.
- Serve and enjoy. Transfer to a bowl and enjoy as a dip with fruit, spread on toast, or dollop on oatmeal or pancakes for a chocolatey protein boost!
